June Update
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 29, 2023 at 09:28:22 AM

Hello Backers!

Sorry for the delay on this update, but it's a good one.

I just uploaded the third adventure (Filigree) to Backerkit and send it out to all appropriate backers. You should have received an email notification on this, but you can also access the digital files by going onto Backerkit directly.

As an apology for this taking longer than expected, I also put together a short adventure called "Scorched Earth" and sent it out as well to everyone. This was not part of the original Kickstarter and was put together specifically because I felt like I owed you all something extra. You should be able to download that from Backerkit as well.

On the physical product side of things, I've got good news there as well. The first two adventures are in from the printer and look great. The third adventure is at the printer and (hopefully) we'll see it by mid-July. You'll get another update as soon as those orders start going out.

Thanks again for your patience, and I hope you enjoy your product.

Crisis Averted. Delayed Release.
about 3 years ago – Sat, Apr 01, 2023 at 11:42:04 AM

Hey All,

Quick update for April. I was close to looking like a complete fool for you all and have managed to look like only a partial one.

Delay Recap

Several weeks ago, we were on the fast track to delivering all the PDFs and had our eyes set on gearing up the print run. Well, then a small crisis happened as we lost our editor midway through the final pass. That took a week or so to sort out and then when I went to send off the files to a new person, I found that I did not have the most current files from the original editor. Then came a couple of weeks of hunting for those files and going back and forth with the original editor. We finally got it sorted, and those files were kicked to the new editor for completion. Right before GaryCon, we got those files back with final notes and have been going over all of them.

Current State

Everytime you kick something to a new editor, they're bound to discover new stuff you need to adjust. My hope is that this makes for an even better final product, but it's definitely slowed us down. Here's where we're at:

  • Part 1: Done.
  • Part 2: Almost done. We just need to make a few tweaks based on new edits.  It's already been through layout.
  • Part 3: Also almost done. A few tweaks and a couple of pages to add and then it's off to layout.

New Timeline

Realistically,  we're looking at end of this coming week to get you Part 1 & 2 in digital form, and probably 2 weeks for Part 3. Then all of them go to the printer. I do not expect to start shipping till the end of the month.

Thanks to everyone for your continued patience. It could have been really rough if we'd have lost all the initial editing work, but as it is, I'm grateful we've only lost a handful of weeks.

BackerKit Coming Soon!
over 3 years ago – Sat, Nov 19, 2022 at 04:31:23 AM

Hello Backers!

Zac here with a quick update. We're getting ready to hit the order button on the books, so we'll hopefully be able to start kicking out digital copies before too long. Fingers crossed there as we do final reviews.

Additionally, we're about a week away from opening up the BackerKit to all of you fine folk. We'll post again when that officially begins. Once that goes live, we have hopes of surging through that process and kicking out your books in December.

Everything's going really well and I'm excited about what our editor and layout artist have been doing to improve the adventures even more than we had expected!
